Abdulla Ahmad is the founder of X^π and brings more than ten years of experience working in the space sector. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), his career spans spacecraft engineering, strategic research and space policy, from contributing to the thermal subsystem of the Hope Probe that reached Mars in 2021, to shaping national space science and technology strategy and representing the UAE at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs on space sustainability and the responsible use of outer space. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from RMIT University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering jointly awarded by MIT and the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. He founded X^π to give the UAE and every operator a sovereign, trustworthy picture of the orbital domain.

He is also an active researcher with over fifteen peer-reviewed publications and conference papers spanning spacecraft thermal control, propulsion, Mars-exploration systems and renewable-energy forecasting. His study of the UAE's 2030 renewable-energy mix has been cited more than 100 times. A growing focus of his work is artificial intelligence in space, including Leveraging AI for Earth Observation and Climate Action in the Space Sector (2025), AI in Space: Is It Revolution or Evolution? (2023) and Adopting Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Space Domain: A UAE Case Study (2020).
